About Me

My photo
Brian McLaughlin
Folks always seem to want a profile. They want to know who you are for some reason. So that makes me wonder, what about me is special enough to interesting to someone else. Here I am an old retired guy who at 63 years young writing poetry and now opinion pieces once in a while. Now the poetry that's fun. The opinion pieces, that's another story. That stuff can get you in trouble. I really don't go looking get into politics, religion and stuff, but at times, that stuff seems to find me. Is that the curse you receive when you all of a sudden start writing? Anyway, grew up in the northeast, spent some time in the service and settled in the midwest. Now you know where I came from, where I've been and where I have come to. Ok, you already know that I said that I don't care a whole lot about getting into politics or religion. What I'd rather get into is the pantry and put something together to eat, that's right, I cook and love the end product of that activity. The other item high on my list of likes is golf. Now I'm not very good, bogey golfer I am, but I love the game. Golf courses can be some of the most beautiful and peaceful places on earth.
