His Story

He told of his life

all that went before him was included

he claimed that it had all been passed down

from parents

from their parents

and ancestors from far back

Another man

told me of his life

he too included

all that went before him

the tale also had been relayed through the ages

passed down through the generations

Their lives

the lives of their ancestors

had crossed

time and time again

yet their truth of those times

came across as quite different

I have decided that

we will always have more than one tale

we will always have more than one viewpoint

and we will always refer to these tales as

History
